I've lost all my old friends (actually THEY lost me) but partly because they were trying to be my friends once I got reinstated and that's bs. When they would text me I'd give them all the same vague answer...pretty much thanks, but no thanks..

*Facepalm* What do you make of this cultish email I just got from my JW friend? What do I say to her?
by Julia Orwell ina bit of background: she is a sweet sister who has hard a really hard life: mum killed in an accident when she was young while once-an-elder dad was off having an affair after having been released from jail after serving time as a pedophile; she spent months in hospital after the accident which killed her mother; brothers jailed as pedos, ex husband left her cold with their 6 month old son- she's had a tough life and is a really sweet lady.
she's intelligent, caring, forgiving and articulate.
far too good for jws.. she 'brought me into the truth' as they say, and as such we've always had a pretty good bond.. now, after the gossip/slander fiasco of another so-called friend running around telling everyone i'm an apostate and not to talk to me, i unfriended my jw friends from facebook with an explanation.

What advise would you give to young people today.

I would allow my children to learn about all kinds of religion and let them choose what they feel is right once they've done the research. I will never advocate one religion over another. Rather, as a "God believer", I would teach my child principles from the bible, but understand that we don't know for sure if certain things happened because of so many years and translations ago. Point blank, I'd say, be a good person, be respectful, humble, use your critical thinking skills and just do what makes you happy (as long as it isn't illegal or harmful).

im so stressed im throwing up
by unstopableravens init just all hit me at once,i was with a friend earlier talking and i felt really good after our talk.
went down my moms,and wifey text me she going to meeting,and all this stress and anxiety hit me all at once.
this crazey it consumes my mind and no my body.

need to talk/vent. wifey wt problems
by unstopableravens inmy wife ask me if im going to make up the assmebly, i reminder her that i in clean conscience can not go anymore,as soon as the word anymore came out the tears started flooding.
it hurts me to see her like this.
i talked to her calm trying to explain why i cant worship with doctrine that is so clearly wrong.
